In this role you will be responsible for major and complex assignments with long-term business implications, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, and contribute to the overall business strategy.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h1><span class="emphasis-3"><b>Job Description</b></span></h1><p></p><p><b>Roles and Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><p>Provide technical leadership for a team of engineers for all product design aspects of the assigned system</p></li><li><p>Assure all component designs meet requirements</p></li><li><p>Support and coordinate with interfacing organizations such as manufacturing, sourcing, services, global engineering, ATO, and systems engineering</p></li><li><p>Support service programs, fulfillment, and New Product Introduction (NPI)</p></li><li><p>Provide strong guidance and contribution to DMP and design to cost projects</p></li><li><p>Communicate progress to all levels of the organization</p></li><li><p>Mentor and develop less experienced personnel</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Required Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science</p></li><li><p>At least 5 years of engineering experience</p></li><li><p>GE Aerospace will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Desired Characteristics:</b></p><ul><li><p>Master’s degree in Engineering</p></li><li><p>Six Sigma training</p></li><li><p>Strong mechanical design and analytical background</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with manufacturing processes</p></li><li><p>Ability to drive projects to completion</p></li><li><p>Strong oral and written communication skills</p></li><li><p>Strong interpersonal and leadership skills</p></li><li><p>Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers</p></li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><i><span style="font-size:12pt">This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
