<p>We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer with deep expertise in TypeScript and</p><p>Playwright to join our growing quality team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a</p><p>fast-paced environment, has strong problem-solving skills, and enjoys building robust test</p><p>frameworks that support engineering at scale.</p><p>You will play a key role in shaping our test automation strategy, designing scalable solutions, and</p><p>driving quality across cross-functional teams.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Design and build robust automation frameworks from scratch using Playwright with TypeScript.</li><li>Write reusable, maintainable, and scalable automated test scripts for end-to-end and integration</li><li>testing.</li><li>Drive adoption of test automation practices across teams, ensuring adherence to automation</li><li>coding standards and design patterns.</li><li>Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Buildkite, Spinnaker, Jenkins) to enable</li><li>efficient and reliable deployments.</li><li>Collaborate with development, DevOps, and product teams to triage issues, refine test strategies,</li><li>and improve overall software quality.</li><li>Take ownership of solving ambiguous automation and integration problems across multiple</li><li>services or teams.</li><li>Act as a quality advocate by providing guidance and support in planning, reviews, and</li><li>retrospectives.</li><li>Maintain test coverage metrics and provide clear reporting to stakeholders.</li><li>Requirements</li><li>5-9 years of hands-on experience in test automation, with significant expertise in TypeScript and</li><li>Playwright.</li><li>Strong understanding of test design principles, browser automation, and web technologies.</li><li>Proven experience integrating automation into CI/CD workflows using Buildkite, Spinnaker,</li><li>Jenkins, or similar tools.</li><li>Proficient with Git and best practices around version control in a collaborative development</li><li>environment.</li><li>Ability to write clean, modular, and reusable automation code following industry best practices.</li><li>Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and align</li><li>quality objectives.</li><li>Experience working in Agile environments with ownership of automation lifecycle and quality gates.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering impactful solutions across team</li><li>boundaries.</li></ul><p>Nice to Have</p><ul><li>Experience with API test automation (e.g., Postman, REST-assured, or similar).</li><li>Exposure to containerized test environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).</li><li>Familiarity with test result visualization/reporting tools like Allure or custom dashboards.</li></ul><p>What We Offer</p><ul><li>Flexible remote or hybrid work from anywhere in the UK.</li><li>Opportunity to work with a modern tech stack on large-scale engineering challenges.</li><li>Autonomy to influence and improve test architecture and quality culture.</li><li>Supportive, collaborative team environment that values continuous learning.</li><li>Competitive salary and benefits aligned with experience</li></ul>
