Catch-A-King Charters is excited to hire one Lodge Cook to join our tight-knit team at our waterfront fishing lodge in Craig, Alaska, for the full 2026 season (late May through early September).

We're looking for a dependable, organized, and enthusiastic cook who thrives in a fast-paced seasonal environment and enjoys working collaboratively as part of a two-cook team. This is a hands-on, immersive role where you'll help create memorable meals for our guests while living and working in one of the most beautiful, wild places in the world.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

- Preparing desserts, salads, sides, appetizers, and assisting with buffet-style dinners for up to 40 guests ( + crew)

- Dinner service begins at 6:00 pm, with prep and baking taking place earlier in the day

- Shared duties between the two cooks: daily prep, kitchen cleanup, inventory tracking, and placing weekly Costco orders (training provided)

What we're looking for:

- Solid cooking and/or baking experience preferred (Experience is a plus, but not required—we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn)

- Ability to obtain an Alaska food handler certification (we can guide you through this)

- Comfort with remote lodge living: shared housing, and the camaraderie of a small seasonal crew

- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to the full season

What we offer:

- Competitive pay: $5,000 per month salary + generous cash tips from appreciative clients (many of our cooks find tips significantly boost total earnings—often making this one of the more rewarding seasonal kitchen positions in Alaska)

- Room and board included: Comfortable housing + all meals provided (no rent or grocery expenses!)

- A front-row seat to Alaska's wild beauty: Prince of Wales Island offers world-class fishing, kayaking, hiking rainforest trails, wildlife viewing (bears, whales, eagles), totem parks, limestone caves, and over 1,300 miles of roads and trails to explore.

- The chance to join a family-run business established in 1989, our guests often describe us as welcoming and like family, and our crew becomes a close-knit group over the summer.

- An unforgettable Alaskan adventure: This is more than a job, it's a seasonal lifestyle where you can build skills, save money, make great connections, and experience the real Alaska

If you're someone who loves cooking, enjoys the rhythm of seasonal work, and dreams of spending a summer surrounded by Southeast Alaska's stunning scenery and incredible fishing, this could be the perfect fit.

I'd be happy to share more details about daily life at the lodge, the team, sample menus, typical schedules, what to bring, and answer any questions you have

Looking forward to hearing from you!
