This position is responsible for Accounts Payable duties and assisting the Director of Finance and Executive Director with other financial related functions.
Responsibilities
Enters invoices into Bill payment software ensuring invoice is accurate, due dates are recorded and amount is tax exempt.
Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation, request to void payments, add adjustments, etc.
Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.
Complete allocations of applicable invoices to various departments
Download invoices, as applicable, from vendor website.
Devising ways to save money through monitoring opportunities for discounts or changing vendors
Documenting invoices and payments and reviewing data for discrepancies
Processing and maintaining 1099 statements
Reconciling payable GL reports monthly to confirm the accuracy
Reconciling vendor statements to company records
Additional responsibilities, as assigned.
Requirements
Business or Accounting degree preferred
Minimum of 2-3 years proven work experience in accounting required
Organization skills
Data entry skills
General math skills
Financial software knowledge
Ability to analyze and process information
Attention to detail
Verbal/written communication Skills
