What you'll do

  • Serves as the primary point of contact related to current and future crew compensation technology.
  • Serve as an escalation point for resolving technology issues, questions, and requests.
  • Identify technology issues and engage in structured problem solving to assist analyst in accomplishing work.
  • Responsible for all change management processes associated with current and development/implementation of new technology. Maintain all internal process mapping.
  • Lead contractual pay and work rule change implementation including training and development of new technology.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees in accordance with Company policy, union contracts and federal/state regulations as well as customer service standards.
  • Maintain the confidentiality, accuracy and security of crew compensation system and adhere to documented payroll processes and key internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Support leadership in developing and maintaining the strategy and vision for the team to optimize results and plan for future.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain crew comp processes, including monthly, quarterly & year-end reporting and payroll-related accounting.
  • Monitor analyst behavior with customers (both internal and external) to ensure consistency and compliance with Company guidelines, procedures, and standards.
All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Accounting or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least 5 years’ experience working in Payroll or equivalent field.
  • Experience with crew comp technology and systems
  • 3+ years managing a team.

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Knowledge of project management methodology and some project management
  • Aviation industry knowledge
  • Current or previous Information Technology. Crew Scheduling or Tracking experience
  • Understanding of FAA regulations and working within union rules and limitations

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Ability to manage confidential information.
  • Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
  • Strong analytical abilities, including the ability to troubleshoot problems, recognize areas for process improvements and identify and communicate trends.
  • Thinks strategically and act operationally.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage time and resources effectively, adapt to rapidly changing priorities and meet required deadlines.
