<strong>About our client<br><br></strong>Our client is a leading venture capital investor seeking a Performance Monitoring and Finance Analyst to support the CFO in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of valuations, portfolio analysis, and a broad range of fund finance responsibilities. As a growth hire, you will act as a business partner to senior management, supporting oversight of fund finance, portfolio monitoring, valuations, analytics, and process improvements. This role offers exposure to a dynamic and fast-growing business, providing the chance to make a meaningful impact during an exciting period of expansion. <br><br><strong>What the job involves<br><br></strong><ul><li>Take ownership of the quarterly and annual valuation of portfolio companies, applying appropriate valuation methodologies</li><li>Analyse company performance by interpreting portfolio company data, including board and management packs, as well as other financial and non-financial information</li><li>Prepare monthly and quarterly investor communications and reporting</li><li>Support the CFO in the ongoing implementation and development of technology solutions to enhance portfolio monitoring, data analysis, and performance analytics</li><li>Strengthen portfolio monitoring processes and leverage insights from data in valuations and other business analyses</li><li>Assist with ad-hoc analysis, including exit scenario modelling and fund performance modelling</li><li>Review and assess fund-level risks</li><li>Interrogate company-level data to challenge valuation assumptions and understand the underlying drivers of asset performance</li><li>Support the CFO with fund drawdowns and distributions</li><li>Provide assistance during fund annual audit and reporting periods<br><br></li></ul><strong>Who we are looking for<br><br></strong><ul><li>Chartered Accountant (or equivalent) qualification</li><li>Strong understanding of valuations and IPEV guidelines</li><li>Experience in private equity or venture capital is desirable</li><li>Exceptional attention to detail and analytical ability</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office; modelling experience is a plus</li><li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment</li><li>Self-motivated, proactive, and demonstrates a strong work ethic</li><li>Engaging and personable, able to build relationships with a broad range of service providers</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li></ul>
